Academic Curricula

Experts have observed that land-related academic curricula are not necessarily equipped to respond to Africa’s realities and dimensions of land governance and administration.

Training

In pursuit of its role to assist Africa Union member states in the implementation of the AU agenda on land, the Network of Excellence on Land Governance in Africa (NELGA) builds capacities for transformative land policy processes in Africa.

Research and Policy Actions

Provide and facilitate academic education and training for African land professional and practitioners.

Network

NELGA is a partnership of leading African universities and research institutions with proven leadership in education, training and research on land governance. Currently, NELGA has more than 70 partner institutions across Africa.

AJLP & GS is a journal specialised in publishing research activities carried out in the field of geospatial sciences and land governance.

NELGA Land Data Hub

To support the research mandate of NELGA and to provide necessary data to support government policy and program implementation as well as monitoring, the Regional Centre For Mapping of Resources for Development (RCMRD) has established the NELGA Land Data Hub.
